"Reverie" By Setsunna Chapter Four It was raining outside, the slow water that flowed down my all-glass door leading out onto the balcony. I watched it move in it's own way. I love it when it rains, I thought, turned from the door and went to the small radio on the desk by my bed. Vegeta, as always, was in the gravity room, Trunks was at school, Bulma was at her meeting that was to last hours, and her parents were on a cruise. I am SO bored, I thought and looked at the radio. I just stared at it for a while, then leaned over and turned it on. The sound was quiet and the song was one I knew. Desert Rose, I thought, I always loved that song, plus it fits this day well. The song by Sting had always captured my heart; it was so moving to me, I felt as if I would go and dance in the rain. It was a good idea, but still. Then another song I like came on, Petals, by Mariah Carey. I never was fond of her, but I did like some of her songs, I thought and sat back to listen to the rest of the song. I've often wondered if there's ever been a perfect family I've always longed for undividedness and sought stability A flower taught me how to pray but as I grew that flower changed she started flying in the wind Her golden petals flying in the wind I miss you, dandelion... I wish there was something I could have done about my dog, I thought, crying. I had lost a dog just last year in the other world. He was only one year old, but they put him to sleep while I was at camp. I never got a chance to say goodbye, I thought as I tried to muffle another sob Though I wish you and I could forgive each other cause I miss you valentine and really loved you I tried so hard but... to preserve my sanity I found a way to pray for my wish do do do do do do dododo do do... The radio radio turned to the announcer. Jeez, these songs never do last, do they? I thought while I sniffed and brushed away the remaining tears. Hopefully they don't put on another song that does that, I thought and smiled to myself, looking back at the rain-covered glass door. You could see a faint glow through it; it was the light to the gravity room. I sighed and shook my head. Why would he ever come up here? I mean, I'm the only one here, not like he has a purpose, I thought and laid back on my bed and stared at the ceiling. Maybe I should go back; I mean, it's not like anyone here cares about me. Just the other day Bulma yelled at me for 'disturbing' her from her work; also, Trunks glared at me when I asked him who he was talking to on the phone and accused me of eavesdropping, I thought, mad at first, then became sad. Either that or I could just run away, I thought. The the radio switched back to songs, of course it had to be one I liked. Now Is Forever. We should think about what we got right now cause the good things are made about time smile to your problems leave the past behind never forget this find the truth in your soul keeping you alive don't shake the future with all that's behind live for today the past is all that's gone the future is yet to come cause there's only ends on our own we should live this way just build up now day now is forever the past is all that's gone the future is yet to come ends on our own we should live this way just build up now day now is forever the past is yet to come... Jeez, now that makes me want to forget all that I was thinking, I thought and looked at the window again. I mean, it does tell the truth. Oh well, I guess I will go to see if they even notice, I thought and turned off the radio. Vegeta had taught me some ki tricks and attacks. I opened the glass door and stepped out into the rain. I just stood there, enjoying the moment in the rain, but then I took off, flying with the rain spattering on my face, keeping me cool. I have no idea where I will go, but I will find a place, I thought, keeping my ki low, but still flying fast. My tail was fluffed out in a cat manner; it was beginning to annoy me so I just unraveled it from around my waist. That's better. A couple hours later, I was getting tired, so of course I landed in the middle of nowhere. But there was one house, and it looked familiar. Of course! I thought, mentally slapping myself. This is Goku's house, I thought, and went up to the door and knocked. I waited for a while; I heard footsteps. Then the door opened, revealing Goku, who was smiling. "Hi, Naliah, what brings you here?" he asked, pulling me inside. I didn't answer, but watched ChiChi come around the corner. "My! Naliah, you need to get dry, or you're going to catch a cold," she said, coming after me. "That's okay, ChiChi-san, really, I can dry myself," I said and activated my ki, just enough to dry me "Naliah, what were you doing out there in the first place? Did Vegeta kick you out or something?" Goku asked, looking me straight in the eye, so if I wanted to lie, I couldn't. "NO! I just got bored, so I came here," I said and shrugged. "Oh, okay; well, dear, are you hungry?" ChiChi asked, smiling warmly. "Kind of," I said, smiling back at her. "Thank you for the invitation," I said and followed her in the kitchen. "You're quite welcome, dear," she said, turning to her pot. "What about me, ChiChi?" Goku whined as he walked in the small kitchen. "You already had YOUR lunch! Now go in the living room," she said and turned back to her pot. I watched Goku sulk away. After I ate, the phone called, making me jump from the non-familiar ring it gave off. "Moshi moshi," I heard ChiChi say after she answered the phone. "Yes, why?" she asked. I looked toward where the phone was, but she had her back to me so I could not see her. "Oh, of course!" she said and turned to me. "Vegeta said he wants you home right away," she said, looking at me sternly. "Okay, thanks for lunch!" I said and rushed out the door. So he noticed! I thought and hurried home, for what came WHEN I got there didn't bother me one bit.
